Heavy foreboding clouds always inspire me. I’ve explored them in oils and acrylic, and now I’m seeing what I can do in gouache. I’m liking the results – a lot.
There is something magical about these wee cottages at the head of Loch Maree. No matter how many times I pass them, I always have to stop and look. Their surrounding landscape is so wild and with the trees planted around them, these wee houses seem like an oasis of calm.
I’ve been busy all summer doing everything but paint; so now I’m making up for it. I’ve started working on a series of wee paintings from photos I have been taking over the passed few months. All are for sale.
